Mooooo....

Grade 1.

April 30, 2008

Almost everyone who saw me asked me the same question.

Saan ka na mag-aaral?

Helpful, aren’t they?

This is probably one of the longest days of my summer.

I woke up at 7:00 AM. I slept again and woke up at about 8:15.

I went to Elaine’s house and then we went to Neil’s. We walked to ICAM (wasn’t far, haha) and the place was… quiet. After getting Elaine’s good moral, which was done within 5 minutes because of Ms. Tina :D , we went straight to CGH.

Elaine had to go inside to pass her requirements while Neil and I stayed on the bench somewhere there. I was wondering where she went. Nakipagtalo pa pala siya sa tao dun.

So after getting everything done (and Elaine ranting about her report card), we took a tricycle ride to SM San Lazaro.

We were looking for a cheap Memory Stick Duo and it only took us about half an hour. The plan was to eat some baked ziti at Sbarro but we changed our minds and went to Karate Kid instead.

We were inside for… too long. Haha! We talked about different topics. Actually they were about different people. Ehem.

Later, someone sent a text message to Elaine. Her mother asked her to buy cheeseburgers. From McDonald’s.

Elaine, pa-cheeseburger ka naman.

Hahaha!! Familiar?

After staying for another long time inside McDo, we decided to go home. Well, not actually home but to Elaine’s place. Then to Neil’s again. Naulit lang?

We were trying to figure out how to play the games. I asked my brother and he told me na "baka hindi pa namo-modify yung PSP niya."

Therefore, I brought his PSP home and Kuya would probably modify it later.

Elaine was having a hard time playing with the NDS because, haha, Nikki doesn’t want to let go of it. Cooking Mama vs Spongebob Squarepants. Haha.

Neil was playing with Elaine’s PSP (yes, state of depression), and I was just watching them play and helping Nikki get Spongebob up the hill at times. Aww… I actually took a video of them. Like brother like sister?

I don’t want to tell about what we really talked about. They were mostly about college and some were just too private and had to be kept by me and my friends… since first grade.  Though I wasn’t really friends with Neil before and I was the first one who laughed at Elaine when she… nevermind. Tinusok ko si Neil ng magic pencil at tinawanan ko si Elaine noong grade one. And we were just together. Weee.

I went home at 9:00.

Quote of the day!

Mabait na nga ako.

Guess who said that.

Ciao.

Life Update.

Piano Lessons

Day 1

Nothing much. Mga tatlong lessons lang naman ang pinagsabay-sabay ni Coach. He asked me what kind of music I preferred and what my favorite songs are, and all I could manage to answer was, "Wala akong favorite. Kahit ano, huwag lang rap."

He gave me that strange look, or probably he found me strange. What kind of person has no favorite song? My favorites depend on my mood. Sometimes, the weather. Or the day. Haha, weird. I’m not human. Weee.

He asked me if I knew the song Alone, and I asked him back if it’s the old, Heart song. Not that I knew other Alone songs. He kind of played the first part and I was startled. Haha. I’ve been wanting to play that song without using mighty YouTube to search for a tutorial. Anyway, Coach told me that we (or I) would focus on learning that song and I might as well sing it

NO WAY.

I made the petty excuse that I’ll play and my sister will sing.

And I found out later that I was serious about that.

Wait a minute, did I mention that I don’t like rap? Oh, I don’t. Sora wo miagereba… (big HAHA).

Day 2

Coach was late. I don’t really mind. My mother does. I don’t care. He wrote the chords of Alone. We were already at note reading, and, I swear, I haven’t absorbed that much information until now. Was it that hard to read notes? I can play Canon in D.

He wanted me to play around with the chords of Alone.

Wow.

Day 3

Coach wasn’t there. I think I know what happened, but I won’t say what it is. I always don’t.

There was a… new coach. He taught me how to read the notes (again), but slower this time. He was the one who told me, "Naturo na ba sa’yo ‘to?"

"Opo."

"Pero hindi mo pa naaabsorb?"

"Haha, hindi pa po."

A kid arrived. When I said kid, I meant he’s in 6th grade. He brought his own keyboard. It was about the same size and probably had the same weight as the one I have here, but I really mind bringing that thing every other day… SA ROCES AVE.

Poor kid.

He was fine. Though I think it was a little hard for both of us to learn together, because, well, I am older than him and, most likely, I learn too fast. And the keyboard he was using was better.

Heh, the irony of it.

My brother went with me and he was probably thinking of his past piano lessons. The piano lessons which were stopped because of the teacher who tried to sell eyeglasses to him because HIS EYESIGHT IS POOR. His eyesight is poor? What?? If his sight is poor then how about mine!?

I think he’s also not human.

That leaves my sister. Haha. Hello, Ate. Baka binabasa mo ito ngayon. Special mention ka.

Books

Twilight

We (si Ate yung isa) bought some books last Sunday (two days ago). She bought, uh, Sophie’s World? Tama ba? And a small book which I’ve forgotten the title.

Anyway, about Twilight. So we bought it two days, uh, nights ago and I finished reading it the next day. Yesterday. Only for a day. 500 pages? Yes. And I’m starting to read

New Moon

now. Actually, I’m beyond starting. I can finish reading it tomorrow if I want to, but I think I might go somewhere so…

Eclipse

OUT. OF. STOCK. Great.

Give me this book and I’ll be the happiest.

By the way, Twilight broke my record of reading a book. Tuesdays with Morrie is an exception. It’s short. I read it within one sitting.

Memoirs of a Geisha - Three days?

Cage of Stars - Two days.

New Moon - Who knows?

I still have a list of books to buy. Yehey for me!
